2. In short
We use no cookies, no analytics or advertising services and no tracking. Fonts, images and our film are hosted on our own domains; visiting the site sends no data to Google, Meta or similar services. Data only goes to others when you click something yourself – such as the map or a WhatsApp button.
3. Hosting (Cloudflare)
The pages are delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, requested address, time, browser identifier and referring page to deliver the pages quickly and securely and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the EU Standard Contractual Clauses also apply. To fend off automated attacks, Cloudflare may in individual cases set a technically necessary security cookie. More: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
4. Map of animal help services (OpenStreetMap)
The map is only loaded when you click “Load map”. Your browser then requests map tiles from the OpenStreetMap Foundation (St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom), which transmits your IP address. The legal basis is your consent by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). An EU adequacy decision exists for the United Kingdom. If you tick “Remember for this site”, we store this choice in your browser’s local storage (entry “soa-karte”); it never leaves your device and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings. 5. Location (“Near me”)
In the directories you can sort contact points by distance. Only when you click “Near me” does your browser ask for permission to use your location. The position is used only in your browser for sorting and is not sent to us or stored. If you have loaded the map, it then shows your area; your browser requests the map tiles for that area from OpenStreetMap (see section 4). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in your browser settings.
6. WhatsApp
If you click a WhatsApp button or submit the “Add your organisation” form, WhatsApp opens with a prepared message. The form data is not sent to our server; it is only inserted into the WhatsApp message, and we only receive it once you send the message there. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland); WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies, and transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We only use your messages to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed.
7. Contact by email or phone
If you write to or call us, we process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
8. Donations
Donation buttons lead to the donation page of saveouranimals.world. Payment and all data required for it are processed there under the privacy policy of saveouranimals.world. No payment data is collected on these pages.
9. External links
Links to other websites (e.g. authorities, vets, associations) only transmit data to the respective provider when clicked.
10. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to info@saveouranimals.world. You can also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
